Casey Kristofferson is no stranger to the stage, she has been sharing it with her parents and extended family for years. Her first tour was at 7 weeks old with parents Kris and Rita, and since then the road has simply become a part of her.
While Casey has performed in a variety of bands over the years, Casey Kristofferson Band is the first project placing her voice and songwriting in the spotlight. Casey put together an all star group with members from NC, TN and GA including Zack Page on bass, Herschel VanDyke on drums, Muddy Welles on lead guitar, and Jim Aaron on harmonica. With the thought of highlighting the songwriter, Casey brought in Andy Buckner as a featured writer, vocalist and guitarist. The group spent nine hours arranging and rehearsing tracks, went to Echo Mountain Recording the next day and tracked nine songs in another nine hours. The result is their debut album, Dirty Feet, which features songs written by Casey and Andy, along with collaborations from eight other songwriters including Amy Nelson (Folk Uke), Charles Humphrey III (Songs From The Road Band) and Graham Sharp (Steep Canyon Rangers).
